What this does
This wraps photographs and scans into a PDF, one page each, in the order you put them in. PNG and JPEG go in exactly as they arrived — the bytes are re-used rather than re-encoded, so nothing is lost and nothing is added — and the page can either take the shape of the picture or be set on a standard sheet with the picture fitted inside it.
What it will not do
Every tool here says what it cannot do, in its own words, before you rely on it.
- PNG and JPEG go in exactly as they arrived, with nothing decoded and nothing lost.
- WebP has no place in the PDF format at all, so it has to be decoded and re-stored as PNG — lossless, but usually larger, and only possible in a browser that can decode WebP.
Questions people ask
Will my photos lose quality?
No, for PNG and JPEG: the picture is stored in the PDF exactly as it arrived, byte for byte. WebP has no place in the PDF format, so it is decoded and stored again as PNG — lossless, but usually a larger file.
Can I make each page A4 instead of the shape of the photo?
Yes. Choose a page size and the picture is fitted inside it with the margin you set. Leave it as the picture’s own shape and each page is exactly the size of its image.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The work happens in this browser tab, on your own machine. There is no server in this product to send a file to, which is why the promise is checkable rather than something you have to take on trust: open your browser's network panel and watch it do the work without making a request.
Is there a size limit, or a limit on how many files?
None that we impose. The limit is your own machine's memory, because that is where the work happens — a few hundred megabytes is comfortable on a laptop, and less on a phone. There is no daily task counter, no queue and no account.
What does it cost, and what is the catch?
Nothing, and there is no paid tier that unlocks features: the whole product is the free one. That is affordable because running it costs us nothing — your computer does the work — so there is no per-file cost to recover, no advertising and no data to sell.
